The ACR 350 Asymmetric Front Shoe carries one wide branch and one narrow branch with a chased inner rim, finished with a rolling toe. The asymmetric section corrects footfall asymmetry and limits extra-sagittal movement of the collateral ligaments through the stride. The wide branch protects the collateral ligaments on its side, reducing the risk of lesions, while the narrow branch relieves the subchondral bone beneath it. Farriers should note that the shoe increases ligament loading and joint pressure on the side opposite the wide branch, so placement must reflect the pathology being managed. A sports and therapeutic pattern for dressage, show jumping, eventing and endurance.
