The ACR 880 Heart Bar Open Toe provides excellent frog support by spreading pressure and loading across the back of the hoof. Its wide heart surface is bevelled along its full length, with rolling motion running from the quarters to the open toe and side clips securing the shoe to the wall. Nail holes placed from just after the toe back to the heels give the farrier a wide choice of nail positions, while the tight heel bend accommodates the laminitic foot's typical shape and eases application. The thinner heart section can be adjusted to match the frog's height, and application may be supported with resin on the rear part of the foot. The lateral rolling and open toe substantially reduce pressure and extension stress on the deep digital flexor tendon. 12mm thick.
