Aluminium Equine Crack Patch

An aluminium repair plate for stabilising cracks in the hoof wall. The patch measures 81 mm x 49 mm and is 1 mm thick, and can be secured either with adhesive or with 1/4" crack patch screws depending on the repair. When screwing, the recommended technique is to drive the first part of the screw into the foot, back it out, and nip the end of the screw off before final fitting - this prevents the screw from reaching the sensitive laminae. The plate can also be cut down to size, making it equally useful for quarter cracks and smaller defects.
