Aluminium Performance Leverage Reduction (PLR) Horseshoes

Aluminium Performance Leverage Reduction (PLR) horseshoes from EDSS are the next generation in aluminium performance footwear for horses. The shoe brings the break-over point within close proximity to the centre of articulation of the coffin joint, and reduces leverage medially and laterally as well, easing the strain placed on the joints and connective tissue of the lower limb - particularly in horses asked to turn and work in tight circles. This optimised leverage reduction has proven valuable both as a treatment protocol and as a preventative measure, with the design offering relief from navicular disease, side bone and ring bone. Horses that move with less effort and less pain perform better and stay sounder for longer, which is exactly what the PLR is built to deliver for the performance horse. Available in flat or wedge versions, side clipped or unclipped, in sizes 000 to 4 (4 1/4 inch to 5 3/4 inch measured at the widest point).
