The Blacksmith CAKLB is an aluminium rolling shoe featuring a pronounced bevel that runs from the outside upper edge to the inside lower edge. This sloping surface extends from quarter end to quarter end, easing breakover in every direction and giving the shoe genuine preventive and therapeutic value on the front foot. The rolled profile makes the CAKLB a practical choice for remedial work where leverage reduction is the priority. Its main uses are in the management of ring bone and navicular syndrome, where reducing strain on the digital joints and soft tissue structures can make a real difference to soundness and comfort. Supplied in five sizes from 134mm to 158mm wide, all at a consistent 15mm section thickness, the CAKLB fits neatly into the remedial farrier's kit alongside other leverage-reducing options.
