Calico Soft Mop Wheel (Green Soap)

The Calico Soft Mop Wheel is the finishing mop for the final stage of sharpening your hoof knife on a bench grinder. Used with the green soap compound, it brings the edge up to a fine polish after the coarser sharpening stages have done their work. The green soap is a silicone compound that deposits a protective layer on the blade as you polish. This layer stops mud and other substances sticking to the knife in use, which in turn helps the edge stay sharper for longer between sharpenings. Pair it with a coloured stitched mop and white compound for the second sharpening stage to complete a full bench-mounted knife sharpening setup.
