The Cliff Carroll 70lb (32kg) Wide Face Anvil is a purpose-built farrier's anvil designed to make shoe shaping faster, easier and more precise for both the professional and the developing farrier. Its specially designed side turning cams take the guesswork out of turning heels and making square toes, allowing accurate, repeatable work at the anvil. The extra-wide 4 inch flat face - a feature many farriers specifically ask for - measures 11 inches long, giving a generous working surface, while the 8 1/2 inch horn provides plenty of room for shaping. The heel of the anvil is tapered for working on small shoes down to sizes 00 and 000, and the edges at the heel are rounded to avoid chewing up shoe edges during shaping. Cliff Carroll anvils are a long-standing favourite in the farriery trade, and this 70lb wide face model strikes a practical balance between a substantial working mass and a weight that remains manageable for mobile farriers.
