Colleoni Roller Straight Bar

The Colleoni Roller Straight Bar is a leverage-reduction bar shoe with a bevelled roll on the ground surface, designed for horses with injuries of the flexor tendons, deep digital flexor tendon or suspensory apparatus. It provides good dorsal and collateral rolling combined with a reduction of impact force in the heel area while the straight bar maintains heel support. Dorsal rolling reduces stress on the DDFT during propulsion, the managed heel loading avoids hyper-extension of the fetlock during mid-stance, and collateral rolling reduces asymmetrical stress on the flexor tendons, suspensory apparatus and collateral ligaments. The Shoeing Lab recommends Glue-U pour-in 20 or 30 shore hoof packing silicones. Sold in pairs.
