Coloured Cloth Mop (White Soap)

The Coloured Cloth Mop is a stitched buffing mop for sharpening hoof knives on a bench grinder. It is used for the second stage of knife sharpening, charged with white soap compound, refining the edge after the initial coarse stage and before the final polish on a soft calico mop. The mop measures 8" x 1/2", a size well suited to standard bench grinders. Together with a sisal wheel for the first stage and a soft calico mop with green soap for finishing, it forms part of a complete three-stage bench sharpening system that keeps hoof knives working at their best.
