The Dallmer (EXT) Lateral/Medial Foal Extension Cuff is designed to help correct axial limb malformation in the lower limbs of foals. Its enlarged sole platform supports the foal's leg and displaces the weight-bearing region of the sole, allowing the hoof to adjust to a new centre of gravity and aid correction. The cuffs are easily adjusted to fit the hoof and can be fixed in place using screws. Designed with input from Dr Ric Redden DVM, the Dallmer foal shoes provide a durable and reliable alternative to other methods of foal correction, and full instructions are included in the kit. For application, Vettec SuperFast adhesive is recommended - it holds the cuff within 30 seconds and fully hardens within 2-3 minutes. Due to the rapid horn growth of a foal, the cuffs should not remain glued to the hoof for longer than three weeks. Three sizes are available, measured by width at the widest point: 1 (55-70 mm), 2 (70-80 mm) and 3 (90-100 mm).
