A two-degree synthetic wedge pad from Italian pad maker DePlano. The synthetic material is formulated to mimic the high-quality vegetable-tanned leather DePlano use for their leather pad range, combining the familiar feel of leather under the shoe with the uniformity of a moulded pad. The plain 2° wedge gives a modest heel lift without a built-in frog plate, leaving the solar surface free for the farrier to pack as the case requires - the pads are best used over impression material hoof packing. Comparable in application to Stromsholm wedged Supersole-type pads. Sold in pairs, in size 4 (147 mm at the widest point) and size 6 (170 mm). A 3° version is also available, along with frog support wedges and the flat 3 mm lite synthetic pad in the same material.
