Diamond Road Studs are 3/8" screw-in studs designed to give extra grip and wear when riding on roads. Each stud carries a tungsten pin at its core, so as the surrounding steel wears away on tarmac the hard tungsten centre keeps biting, extending working life well beyond a plain steel stud. They are fitted into tapped stud holes when the horse is shod, and are supplied four pieces to a package - one stud per branch or per shoe depending on how you stud. Part of Diamond's wider screw-in stud family, which also covers jumping, soft ground and hard ground patterns on the same 3/8" thread.
