Diamond Smart Straight-Bar inserts are pre-shaped welding inserts that convert ordinary open-heeled horseshoes into straight bar shoes at the forge. Welding in a ready-formed bar is far quicker than forging one from stock, making these a practical time-saver for remedial and support shoeing. Special shaping notches formed into each insert make it faster and easier to work under the hammer and blend into the shoe. Supplied four to a pack in sizes 1 to 4: size 1 (50mm wide) fits Kerckhaert 4x0-3x0, size 2 (57mm) fits 00-0, size 3 (64mm) fits 1-2, and size 4 (71mm) fits 3-4.
