EDSS Rail Tap
- Use
- Tapping back rail-fixing holes in horseshoes
- For use with
- EDSS plastic and aluminium wedge rails
The EDSS Rail Tap is the dedicated tap for threading the back holes in horseshoes being prepared for EDSS plastic or aluminium wedge rails. Cutting a clean, correctly sized thread ensures the rail fixing screws seat securely and the rails stay firmly located throughout the shoeing period. Used alongside the EDSS rail drill bits (size 10 for the back holes, size 24 for the front), it completes the tooling needed to fit the EDSS rail system to any suitable shoe.
