Based on Dr. Mike Steward's laminitis clog

A solid wood therapeutic clog based on Dr. Mike Steward's original laminitis clog design. The multi-directional leverage-reducing profile makes it a practical option for laminitis, founder, white line disease, fractured coffin bones and long toe/low heel syndrome, where reducing breakover forces in every direction gives the foot the best chance to recover. Wood is a natural choice for therapeutic work: it absorbs concussion and wears into a pattern shaped by the horse itself, so the shoe gradually self-adjusts to the patient's comfort. Each clog comes with 1/8" of sole relief machined out to accommodate a prolapsed sole, plus a leather rim piece for additional clearance, and is designed to give medio-lateral stability and protection to the whole hoof. Attachment can be by screws, adhesive or Equicast casting tape - screws are recommended for the initial fix, after which impression material is applied around the back half of the foot and the whole hoof and shoe are cast over with Equicast. Sizes run from 000 to 5, measured as width at the widest point from 4 1/4" up to 6".

Solid wood therapeutic clog based on the Steward Clog design - leverage-reducing, concussion-absorbing support for laminitis and other remedial cases.
