Equisoft First Aid Support Pads are cut-to-size foam hoof pads that provide instant comfort for smaller horses and ponies with sore feet after the onset of laminitis, or with bruised soles from hard ground. Designed as a first aid solution for vets, farriers and horse owners, these multipurpose rectangular pads are a cheap but vital asset in any first aid kit. Fitting is simple: stand the hoof on the rectangular pad, draw round it slightly larger than needed, cut out with scissors, peel off the adhesive backing and press the pad onto the hoof, then tape in place with styrofoam black tape for a secure fit. For best results use with EDSS/TFP impression material under the rear half of the foot to give extra frog support, and extra pads can be cut and taped on top as the lower layers compress. Pad size approximately 209mm x 145mm x 13mm - best suited to lighter patients. For bigger feet or heavier horses, the pre-cut Equisoft Plus pads or the full Equisoft Support System kit are the better options.
