Glue-U ShuFill 2-Part Silicone Hoof Packing

Glue-U ShuFill is a two-part silicone cushion support material for packing the solar surface of the hoof. It cures to a firm but soft supportive pad that offers protection, cushioning and support for the sole and frog, and can be filled right up to ground level to provide solar support in foundered and laminitic cases. ShuFill is available in three Shore hardnesses so the support can be matched to the case: A15 super soft (blue), A25 soft (pink) and A35 medium soft (green). Each grade is supplied either in 660 ml cartridges that fit a standard dispensing gun, or as a 2.5 kg tub for mixing by hand. Set time is around two minutes, with temperature and humidity affecting cure speed to some degree. Glue-U recommend using their retaining meshes when applying ShuFill, particularly for ground-level fills, although the mesh is optional for routine packing. A well-proven silicone packing system from a manufacturer whose glue-on and support products are widely used in remedial farriery.
