Ground Pads are glue-on sole protection pads designed for the transition from shoes to barefoot, and for giving barefoot horses extra comfort whenever it is needed. For thin-soled horses they offer protection and relief, while the pad's design encourages development of a concave sole and helps the foot strengthen over time in its natural state. A unique pressure-plate design spreads the adhesive evenly across the pad during fitting. The pads also add useful grip on grass and other surfaces, making them a practical option for long rides where hoof boots might rub. They suit all types of horses needing a layer of protection without shoes. When gluing to the sole, a flexible, compressible adhesive formulation should be used. The front-pattern pads run from size 3x0 (110mm wide) up to 1.5 (146mm wide).
