Ibex Frog Support Wedge Pad

The Ibex frog support wedge is a graduated (wedged) pad incorporating built-in frog support. By recruiting the frog - the horse's natural shock absorber - it transfers a share of the weight bearing away from the hoof wall and back onto the frog, which makes it particularly useful in laminitis cases and other situations where wall loading needs to be reduced. The pads are sized by width across the pad. We stock the large size at 6 3/4 inches; small (4 3/4") and medium (5 3/4") sizes are also made in the range.
