The JH Forge Shorty hoof knife with pick is a real workhorse of the range, with a compact 1.75-inch blade compared to the 2.5-inch blade of the Deep Belly. The shorter blade gives excellent control for detailed sole and frog work. Handmade from hardened tool steel and sharpened to perfection, each knife is individual. The built-in hoof pick lets you clean out the foot and exfoliate the sole with one tool - the feature that has made these knives, developed by Jim over 30-plus years of shoeing, a favourite with farriers, trimmers and vets. Available in left- or right-handed versions with a choice of short or long ergonomically shaped handle.
