Jim Blurton Brass Rule 2ft

A two-foot narrow-pattern rule from the Jim Blurton tool range, made from polished brass and marked in both centimetres and inches. Brass is the traditional choice for a forge rule: the engraved measuring indicators will not distort or burn off with use around hot metal, so the markings stay accurate for the life of the rule. A staple of the shoemaking bench for measuring bar stock, checking section lengths and marking out before cutting.
