The Jim Blurton plain stamp has a head forged from S1 air-hardening tool steel, chosen because it keeps its shape in hot work and is easily maintained. The stamp is designed to fit E-head nails and carries a slightly wider head than a standard stamp, which makes it particularly well suited to working flat bar steel.
