Jim Blurton Race Track Nippers are a 14-inch specialist nipper built from H13 shock-resistant tool steel, designed specifically for the lighter, more precise work of race shoe removal and trim work on thoroughbred horses. The smaller jaw head typical of racetrack nippers gives better access in the tighter spaces around racing plates and lightweight shoes, where a full-size nipper head can be cumbersome. Every pair is hand-set and finished to the highest standard. H13 tool steel provides excellent edge retention and resistance to chipping, delivering a long service life in the demanding environment of a professional racing yard.
