The offset pattern of Jim Keith's cross pein clipping hammer, giving a different presentation of the pein to the clip for farriers who prefer an offset head when drawing clips. Like every Jim Keith hammer it is handmade — so each one is unique — and shafted on a hickory handle of approximately 17 inches. Jim Keith was a world-renowned farrier for over fifty years, an International Horseshoeing Hall of Fame inductee and international competitor who made most of his own tools before manufacturing them commercially from Tucumcari, New Mexico. His hammers are regarded as some of the best balanced available.
