Jon Atkinson Plain Stamp

Jon Atkinson's shafted plain stamp, designed for use with E head nails. Beautifully balanced and thoughtfully designed, it is a tool that quickly proves how close to perfect a stamp can be once it is in your hand. The head is made from shock-resistant H13 tool steel for strength and excellent durability, mounted on a high quality 13" hickory shaft. All JA stamps are finished to a standard that lets them take a plain stamped nail hole from start to finish. To prolong the stamp's working shape, Jon recommends starting holes with an older, squarer 'starter' stamp to forge out any blips at the edge of the steel, then perfecting the hole with this stamp.
