The Kerckhaert Aluminium Show Pony is a lightweight aluminium pony shoe in an 18x8 section, supplied to the UK trade via Stromsholm. Sold in the UK as the aluminium Kings Pony show plate, it is an aluminium machined concave shoe with a steel toe insert for wear resistance and drilled nail holes, giving show ponies a very light shoe that still stands up to work. The low weight makes it a popular choice for show and performance ponies where minimal interference with action is wanted, while the steel insert at the toe protects the area of greatest wear.
