The Kings Steel Lite is a lightweight steel plate from Kerckhaert's Kings race range, supplied to the UK trade via Stromsholm. Steel Kings plates give racehorses and horses in fast work a light, well-finished shoe with more wear resistance than an aluminium plate, making them popular for training and for turnout between racing plates. We stock the Kings Steel Lite in front and hind patterns: clipped fronts in sizes 3 and 4, clipped hinds in sizes 3 and 4, a side clipped hind in size 2 and an unclipped front in size 2. The 'Steel Lite' name is a UK trade designation; Kerckhaert's own catalogue lists its lighter steel race and training plates under the Steel Kings series (including the Steel Kings DR in 16x8 and 19x8 sections, described by the factory as its lighter steel horseshoe).
