Kerckhaert Speed Toe Race Plates

The Kerckhaert Speed Toe is a front race plate with a distinctive straight, squared toe that sets the point of breakover back, designed to speed up breakover and reduce strain on the upper limb in racehorses. It was the original set-back-toe plate in the Kerckhaert race range and remains in use in racing yards; Kerckhaert's later Fast Break series evolved directly from the Speed Toe concept, softening the straight toe into a slight radius. The plate carries the quality of finish associated with Kerckhaert's race range, with clean, well-placed nail holes and a fit shaped to the natural form of the hoof. We stock front patterns in sizes 4 to 8, in both plain (unclipped) and front side clipped versions. Kerckhaert race plates are supplied to the UK trade via Stromsholm.
