The Kerckhaert Steel Kings Newmarket Trainer (NMT) was developed in collaboration with Ed and Will O'Shaughnessy in Newmarket, giving trainers a durable steel training plate with an excellent fit and very good support. It shares the same thickness as the Steel Kings Extra Sound but carries a wider, stronger section for extra cover and wear between shoeings. Both front and hind patterns follow the familiar Kings drop-on shape, needing minimal adjustment during shoeing, while the centre point on the toe allows precise positioning of the shoe on the hoof. The Radius toe clip is forged for additional strength — among the strongest race clips available — and the hind shoe has an innovative design ideally suited to thoroughbred racehorses in training. Available in sizes 4 (28) to 7 (32), supplied by the pair or by the box.
