KrossCheck Leverage Testing Device (KLTD)

The KrossCheck Leverage Testing Device (KLTD) is a complementary workup tool for veterinarians and farriers investigating foot lameness. The device attaches easily and comfortably to the horse's foot with a specialised rubber strap; once fitted, the wedged dial on the ground surface rotates to eight different positions, elevating different points around the perimeter of the foot to influence the various soft tissue structures in and around the distal interphalangeal joint, as well as the joint surface itself. The horse's comfort or discomfort with the dial in a given position provides valuable diagnostic information - not just for reaching a diagnosis, but for working out what it will take to make the horse comfortable and put it in a better environment to heal. The full system includes four KLTD boots, one of each size: Small (white) for 4.0-4.5" wide feet, Medium (orange) for 4.5-5.0", Large (black) for 5.0-5.5" and X-Large (yellow) for 5.5-6.0" - covering most common saddle horses. Also included are an instruction DVD and guide booklet, ten carbonless triplicate data collection forms, a spinner tool and a one-year limited warranty.
