Londonderry Forge Sateen Abrasive 150g

Sateen is the most aggressive abrasive compound in the mop sharpening system, used for the heavy cutting stage when reconditioning knife and rasp edges on a buffing mop. To use, cut roughly an inch from the block, dice it and work it into a paste with a small amount of hot water, then apply the paste to a coloured cloth mop. The dressed mop then does the fast stock removal before finer compounds bring the edge to a polished finish. A pre-sateened mop is also available for those who prefer to skip the mixing step. Supplied as a 150g block.
