A sisal buffing mop used in the first stage of honing knives and for sharpening rasps, used alongside the grey abrasive compound. Used daily from new, regular mopping can extend the life of a rasp by up to four times, making it a very cost-effective addition to the workshop. The mop attaches and removes quickly and easily on spiral taper spindles and is available in different widths for ease of use: the 1-inch section mop is recommended for knives, while wider multi-section mops suit rasp sharpening. We stock the 1/2" sisal mop as a spare for existing sharpening setups.
