Mustad ComfortMix Silicone is a pad filling material designed for hoof levelling and impact resistance, providing a softer, more flexible fill than urethane-based alternatives. The silicone formula gives good protection and even coverage over the sole and frog, setting within three minutes to a flexible mass that moves with the hoof rather than resisting it. It is compatible with any type of pad and prevents debris and moisture from getting between the pad and the sole during the shoeing cycle. ComfortMix Silicone is particularly well suited to horses where sole flexibility and impact absorption are the primary goals, such as older horses, horses with flat soles, or animals recovering from concussion-related conditions.
