The Mustad E-Head Stamp is a purpose-made forging stamp designed for punching nail holes to suit standard head nails, including the Mustad E-Head, EXL and MX patterns. Cutting the seat accurately for these popular nail profiles, it is a natural companion tool for farriers shoeing with Mustad's mainstream nail range. The working end is hardened for durability, while the wooden handle is firmly mounted into the head with a ring wedge. This mounting system makes handle replacement and general tool maintenance straightforward, keeping the stamp in service over a long working life. As with most stamps of this type, Mustad recommend it is used at low forging temperatures, between 600°C and 700°C, to protect the tool steel and produce clean, consistent nail holes.
Hardened forging stamp for standard head nails such as E-Head, EXL and MX, with a ring-wedged wooden handle for easy replacement and maintenance.
