Mustad Hoof Cast

Mustad Hoof Cast is a fibreglass casting tape system used to stabilise and reinforce the equine hoof capsule in cases of hoof wall defects, quarter cracks, hoof wall resection, or to support the hoof during post-operative recovery. The lightweight fibreglass tape is wetted and applied in overlapping layers around the hoof wall, setting quickly to form a rigid, supportive cast that distributes load evenly across the hoof capsule and prevents further tearing or movement of the hoof wall tissue. Hoof casts are a well-established adjunct to therapeutic shoeing and can be applied over or in conjunction with a shoe to provide maximum structural support. The Mustad formulation is designed for clean, consistent bonding to the hoof wall surface.
