Pro-Glu Rubber Strand

Pro-Glu Rubber Strand is a rubber additive designed for use with the Pro-Glu A9020 adhesive system. Mixed into the adhesive at around 10 per cent, it creates a sacrificial, shock-absorbing sole covering that protects the underside of the foot while it recovers. It is particularly useful for sore-footed horses and those with damaged or compromised soles, where a cushioning barrier between the ground and the solar surface makes a real difference to comfort. The rubber content gives the cured material flexibility and wear resistance, so the covering absorbs concussion and gradually wears away in work rather than cracking off. Supplied in a 500g pack, it is a straightforward addition to the kit for any farrier already using the Pro-Glu adhesive range for sole support and hoof repair work.
