Red Horse Artimud Antimicrobial Hoof Clay

Red Horse Artimud is an antimicrobial hoof clay for horses prone to thrush or white line disease. It works by removing moisture and creating an environment that suits healthy sole and frog tissue while making life difficult for the anaerobic bacteria behind common hoof infections. Artimud is the go-to choice for shallower, more open defects: filling open abscess holes and cracks, treating shallow white line separations, frog clefts, external cracks and thrush. It can also be used as hoof packing under pads - a useful farrier's trick under impression material, where it helps prevent hooves sweating and developing bacterial infections. For deeper, tighter holes, Red Horse Hoof Stuff is the better option. The formula contains green French clay, which gives the putty its ideal consistency alongside its own antimicrobial action, bio-active honey, zinc oxide and eucalyptus oil, which also assists in toughening weakened structures. Tea tree oil has deliberately been removed from the formula, as in rare cases horses can react to it. Available in 300g and 750g tubs.
