Red Horse Field Paste is an antimicrobial sole and frog dressing developed for horses that live out. Its thick, paste-like consistency gives it real staying power, remaining in the collateral grooves, central sulcus and across the sole far longer than thinner thrush treatments while also acting as a barrier against mud, faeces and other contaminants. Originally formulated for brood stock that rarely had their feet picked out, Field Paste carries a slightly lower concentration of antimicrobial substances than Red Horse Sole Paint but delivers a longer residual effect - exactly what is needed for field-kept horses between attention. It should be applied with a gloved hand. The formula combines green French clay for consistency and antimicrobial action, bio-active honey, zinc oxide, zinc sulphate, tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil, which also assists in toughening weakened structures. Every ingredient is there either to fight microbes or to improve the consistency and longevity of the dressing. Supplied in a 750g pot.
