A shoemaking anvil for the mobile farrier, manufactured from single-cast high-grade steel that is hardened and heat-treated for a long working life. At 36kg it strikes a sensible balance between a stable working mass and something that can realistically travel on the van, and the design incorporates a reduced anvil ring for quieter working. The large forming beak is 180mm long, with two clipping horns at the beak end to suit both right and left-handed farriers. The face measures 260mm long by 100mm wide with a table height of 210mm, and carries a 25x25mm hardie hole and an 18mm diameter pritchel hole. Two fitting cams on the heel are provided for adjusting cold shoes and pritchelling out each side of the clip.
36kg single-cast hardened steel shoemaking anvil with 180mm beak, twin clipping horns, fitting cams and reduced ring.
